MechWarrior 2 HelpageBurning ChromeTwo Kitfoxes from bearing 150 hiding, but they are easier to eliminate. After destroying them, head for the Solar Array bearing 000. Halfway through, you should try to destroy at least one Falcon Turret on the hill where the Solar Array is situated. There are a total of 5 Turrets that you must destroy, unless you like a good beating. There will be a enemy Maddog approaching from bearing 090, so destroy him too before moving on. The next enemy 'mech, which is a Summoner, has greater firepower, so lure him away from the Solar Array area, and destroy him. Before reaching the slope at Nav Tau, you should have destroyed all the Turrets. Now, destroy all Solar Array by firing on each of the solar panels. After this, you may proceed to the dust-off site, or finish off the target of opportunity, which is the Falcon dropship north of the Solar Array area. Interestingly, when you manage to inspect this dropship, you will see the name, "Brucefalis". Move to Nav Upsilon to finish the mission. Second opinion: I think you are making this mission too hard. Take out the 2 Kitfoxes. Then proceed to next Nav point, wait for the Summoner to come around the corner. Kill the Summoner, then target the turrets at long range and blow them all up. Destroy the array, by this time the last mech is around the corner and ready to be killed. Proceed to Dustoff Nav. Mission done. Contribution from Pat Callahan <jpc@netscape.com>: Hmm... the problem I was having was that the two kit foxes and the Mad Dog were giving me some damage so that I was pretty vulnerable by the time the Summoner showed up. I've been able to complete the mission finally - with a Rifleman loaded with heat sinks and lasers. The key piece of information I was missing was that I had to try to blast the leg off the summoner as soon as he showed up around the corner. That would limit his mobility enough for me to wipe him out easier. Back to MechWarrior 2 Infopage Home <URL:http://www.lokety.com/mw2_hp_w7.html> Last update @ May 26 1996.
